Head of Business Intelligence & Data Governance
Job Description SummaryThe role will lead to build and govern an integrated commercial data ecosystem that connects market/sales/channel data and intelligence into analytics and insights that fuels into business decision making and executable strategies. This team will ensure data quality, standardization and governance, and working closely with IT, Finance, Commercial OPs, Channel, Market Intelligence, Service, Compliance and LEAN to establish “a single pane of glass” management dashboard for GEHC China.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

1. Lead data governance & master data management

Lead end-to-end commercial data integration at corporate level, including the data of Sales, Channel, Market Intelligence, Install Base, Pricing, Incentive and so on. And establish mechanism to ensure real-time data capture/collection and reflection with verified accuracy and authenticity.Partner with IT and cross-functions to establish a unified master business data platform as single source of truth.Create and enforce policies for effective data management.Formulate management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.Implement secure procedures for data handling and analysis, and establish data sharing rules.

2. Drive business intelligence to support business strategy & decisions

Build up and maintain corporate-level commercial database and dashboards to demonstrate and analyze various scenarios to track/evaluate real-time commercial effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve/change.Develop advanced analytical tools on key areas, e.g. sales funnel management, channel key risk indicator, pricing leakage detector, etc. to support risk management and continuous productivity improvement.Drive insight-to-action by deploying commercial intelligence tools in BUs, train up key users and strategically co-work with related functions to optimize their data analytics and management.

3. Drive data digitalization

Work with IT to iterate current data infrastructure and AI/digital solutions to improve data capturing and automation across organization.Utilize data visualization tools and establish digital dashboard ecosystem across related functions for high-level business reviews and performance tracking.Lead or co-lead cross-biz data digitalization projects.

4. Build up team and team capability

Establish a strong BI & Data governance team, coach and develop team capability in data analytics, database and prototype building, data governance, insights generation, project management and so on.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Math, Data Science, Marketing or related disciplines. MBA or equivalent preferred.20 years’ experience in commercial operations and excellence with Data, BI, Analytics and Insights in MNC, focus but not limited in Customer, Business or Market areas. Strong in Data Analysis, Visualization and reporting, developing reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik View or similar tools.Strong business acumen and ability to translate business requirement into actionable technology / system deployment recommendations.Strong strategic & analytical thinking, business-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial approach to influence at all levels in the Org with engagement to deliver the commitment.Good team working with cross functions and strong leadership to motivate and manage a sizable & diverse team/ projects.Effective working in a fast paced and fluid environment.Reliable, responsive, attentive to detail with high work standard and quality.Role model to live with Lean mindset and execution on commitment.Excellent English oral and written communication skills
