What Your Day-to-Day will look like:Lead with vision: Inspire and guide a team of bid managers, creating consistency and excellence across all bid activities.Drive strategic impact: Lead all aspects of the development of major proposals, bids, and contracts for Rolling Stock projects across the U.S. and Canada.Connect the dots: Integrate insights from engineering, legal, finance, and commercial teams to develop compelling and competitive proposals.Manage risk and opportunity: Lead risk analysis and mitigation planning, maintaining a sharp focus on business integrity and deal success.Elevate standards: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and inclusion within the bid function.Influence outcomes: Play a key role in decisions that directly affect Siemens Mobility’s growth and market leadership in North America.To thrive in this role, you have:Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.8+ years of progressive experience in bid or proposal management, ideally in large-scale infrastructure, transportation, or industrial sectors.A natural leader with a collaborative approach and experience managing impactful, diverse teams.Strong commercial and contractual competence; experience working with regulatory authorities and industry codes is a plus.Advanced skills in project estimation, pricing strategy, and financial analysis.Strong communication and partner leadership skills.Organized, agile, and confident handling multiple sophisticated priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); knowledge of proposal tools and systems is advantageous.Why Join UsPurpose with impact: The work you lead will craft the future of transportation and sustainability in North America.Inclusive culture: We are committed to building diverse teams where everyone belongs and can thrive. The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA, is $190,100 - $223,500 and the annual incentive target is 20% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
