We are looking for our new Head of Battery System Purchasing

Together with a great and professional team, you will have the responsibility to define and implement the global purchasing strategy for the Battery System team. The Battery System Team is in charge of complete Battery systems (Battery packs), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) but also of developing Battery Circularity for the whole scope (acting as Purchasing interface to our Business Unit Volvo Energy). 
 
To be successful in this role you are proactive and have excellent stakeholder management skills. You are great with negotiation and have efficient communication, strong business acumen and the ability to see the end-to-end perspective. 

Main responsibilities and activities:

 
You enable activities to excel the competitive advantage for battery system in the full QDCF-TSR (quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability & risk)  and secure together with your internal and external network, that we are on top of the latest market developments.
You build and maintain trustful and healthy supply partner relationships andhave an active role in different ecosystems with cross-functional members.  

We also expect you to contribute as a member in the Electromobility Energy Storage System Purchasing Leadership team and to play a key role in developing the department. Last but not least, you work in accordance with Volvo Group’s defined Values (Customer Success, Trust, Passion, Change, Performance)

We would also like to see that you have an academic degree in engineering and/or business (or similar) and we hope that you have previous experience in purchasing from an international business environment with global suppliers and leading people in manager roles.
