You are a dynamic leader and builder with a strong background in data and AI, process engineering, and building production grade products. You are passionate about leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies to revolutionize business processes and drive operational excellence. As the Head of AI Workflow Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in Sanofi's digital transformation, leading the design, development, and implementation of AI-powered workflow platform and the products built across the organization.

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Data, AI and Governance Platforms, leading a team that will build products in the AI workflow accelerator. You will be dedicated to this area, working directly with the product line owners and the Global Head of Digital Strategy and Operations. You will work closely with multiple cross-functional teams, including Data Engineering, GenAI Platform teams, Product Line Owners, Business Process Owners, and key stakeholders across various business units. You will have direct management responsibilities for a team of data engineers with opportunities to shape and grow your team.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-powered workflow platform and products that transform core business processes across Sanofi

Partner with Product Line Owners and Global Business Process Owners to identify opportunities for process modernization through AI and automation

Design and build hybrid-cloud solutions with automated pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data products reliably to power transactional AI workflows

Establish architectural standards and best practices for transactional AI workflow engineering across the organization

Lead a team of data engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and production-grade transactional AI workflow solutions

Collaborate with  technology platform teams to leverage existing capabilities and ensure seamless integration

Drive innovation in AI workflow engineering, staying current with emerging technologies and methodologies

Contribute to the overall digital transformation strategy and roadmap for Sanofi

Establish mechanisms to democratize low code, workflow management tools across business processes in Sanofi

About You

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Key Functional Requirements:

Strategic thinker with proven experience in building and scaling transactional AI-driven workflow solutions

Strong track record of delivering production-grade AI related products in enterprise environments

Experience in process automation, workflow optimization, and digital transformation initiatives

Deep expertise in data engineering and building operational transactional systems in agile environments

Proven ability to establish robust CI/CD pipelines for reliable product delivery

Experience building deep partnerships with technology platforms to influence roadmaps and gain early access through product manager relationships

Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and communicate at all levels

Strong product mindset with focus on user experience and business value

Proven leadership experience in building, mentoring, and managing high-performing technical teams

Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams effectively, fostering innovation while maintaining focus on delivery

Ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic solution delivery

Experience in agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management

Key Technical Requirements:

Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience

Deep expertise in AI/ML technologies, workflow automation, and cloud platforms

Strong knowledge of modern data engineering practices and tools

Experience with AWS Bedrock and interest in agent-to-agent (A2A) architectures

Snowflake expertise and demonstrated proficiency in data platform engineering

Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms such as Elementum

Experience with workflow orchestration platforms and low-code development tools

Strong knowledge of enterprise workflow platforms and automation tools

Proficiency in cloud technologies (preferably AWS) and distributed systems

Strong programming skills (Python, Java) and understanding of software architecture

Experience with CI/CD practices and DevOps principles

Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance requirements

The salary range for this position is:

$165,800.00 - $239,466.66

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
