As a member of the hotel Management team, Duty Manager (Head Host) is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate Leadership. This position reports to the Front Office Manager.
Duty Manager (Head Host) at Alila Ubud plays a critical role in fostering a positive work culture and ensuring operational excellence across all areas of Front Office. This role partners with department heads and senior leadership to lead initiatives that attract, develop, and retain top talent while upholding Alila and Hyatt’s purpose: “We care for people so they can be their best.”
Requirement
· Minimum Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
· At least 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the hotel industry, preferably in Front Office or Guest Services.
· Proven track record in managing operations during shifts, including handling guest complaints, emergencies, and staff supervision.
· Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate a team.
· Problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
· High level of customer service orientation and guest relations expertise.
· Solid organizational and time management skills.
· Knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS) and standard operating procedures.
· Good understanding of revenue management principles and room inventory control.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
