The Joe Lee–designed 18-hole championship course offers five sets of tees, making it both enjoyable for beginners and challenging for accomplished players. With a robust calendar of tournaments, couples’ golf, and weekly men’s and women’s games, Audubon offers something for every golfer. The Club recently approved a $24.5M facilities enhancement project (beginning April 2026), which includes a new 1,300 sq. ft. golf shop, expanded member dining spaces, and additional employee operations facilities.

Position Description Audubon Country Club seeks a Head Golf Professional to lead the exceptional golf experience for members and their guests. Reporting directly to the PGA General Manager, the Head Golf Professional will oversee all aspects of golf operations, including tournaments, instruction, merchandising, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and daily oversight of all golf operations, staff, and services Develop and execute a dynamic tournament program that engages the full membership Oversee merchandising operations, ensuring a professional and profitable retail experience Deliver exceptional instruction, clinics, and player development programs for golfers of all skill levels Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing golf operations team Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure a seamless overall club experience • Maintain strong communication with the Golf Course Superintendent regarding course conditions and play Represent the club positively by engaging with members on and off the course Qualifications PGA Class A Member in good standing (required) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role within golf operations; prior experience as a Head Professional strongly preferred Proven track record of staff leadership, training, and mentorship Strong background in tournament administration, instruction, and member engagement Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Skilled in golf retail merchandising and financial management Experience working in a high-end private club environment preferred College degree preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Health, dental, vision, and 401K with Club match Paid vacation and personal time Clothing allowance and employee meals PGA dues and continuing education support Full playing privileges
