Main Responsibilities

Ensure the site’s activities compliance to all relevant Environment & Sustainability regulations and standards (local, state, and company).  Support the HSE Head to maintain the environment permits.

Serve as the primary point of contact with site related environmental regulatory agencies and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.

 Advice on Environmental & Sustainability  Compliance Issues.

Support Site HSE Head on Environmental-related  regulatory strategies and compliance issues.

 Support compliance with regulatory and company Environment requirements

 Advice on Regulatory Compliance.

Develop and implement site plans in alignment with Sanofi Environment & Sustainability Planet Care policies (Eco-Design, Climate change, waste circularity, water stewardship, Biodiversity…).

 Develop local Environmental & Sustainability Policies and programs.

Validate the site’s budget and stratplan to allocate sufficient ressources to achieve  the environmental programs)

Conduct assessments and mitigate environmental impacts associated with the site’s operations: Identify, assess and manage environmental impacts and opportunities.

Implement Process Improvements.

Monitor the environmental performance of the site and oversee the monitoring of environmental parameters, such as air pollution, water and wastewater quality, waste management, and GHG emissions.

Lead initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of the site, including Eco-design, water stewardship, waste, Biodiversity, support the engineering team to optimize the use of the resources and reduce the site’s environmental footprint (Energy, PIE, Water efficiency roadmap, etc).

Decide on Sustainability Initiatives.

Follow progress on Environment improvement projects and initiatives.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement initiatives and drive innovation in environmental practices and process improvements to maintain a competitive edge.

Recommend Resource Management Strategies.

Leads investigations into environmental severe impacts, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Approve the final reports and recommendations following safety incident investigations.

Lead & promote proactive HSE Culture on environmental topics by developing  and delivering training programs on Environment & Sustainability for all employees and stakeholders to guarantee that all employees have the knowledge and capabilities needed for their tasks.

Engage with environmental external experts (consulting, academies, labs, …) to ensure that the site have all the environmental capabilities in line with the site responsibilities on environmental topics.

Monitor/Report Environment & Sustainability local performance and trend (incl culture maturity index) to the SLT and above the site senior management to identify trends, assess performance, and make data-driven decisions.

Ensure quality and timeliness of the reporting of environmental data.

About You

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science,Engineering, Life Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, or related technical field.

7+  years of experience in HSE, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Engineering, Operations or any related field.

High knowledge in Environmental sustainability, air permitting, wastewater and waste management.

Advanced knowledge in product stewardship, Regulatory management , Matrix management, Problem solving, Project management, striving for results, ability to influence

Strong abilities to coach and animate to drive transformation and environment performance.

The salary range for this position is:

$133.500,00 - $222.500,00
