Duties and responsibilities related to the Head Chef role
Lead and oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional standards of food quality, creativity, consistency, and presentation across every service.Provide strong, inspirational leadership to the culinary team, creating a positive, supportive, and high-performing kitchen environment.Take full responsibility for menu development, culinary innovation, recipe creation, and the implementation of brand and hotel standards.Ensure precise supervision of food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating, maintaining consistent excellence in portion control, taste, and visual presentation.Manage kitchen financial performance, including food cost control, budgeting, ordering, stock management, and waste reduction.Maintain the highest levels of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen organisation, ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory and internal standards.Collaborate closely with hotel leadership and other departments to enhance service quality, support operations, and elevate the overall guest experience.Recruit, mentor, train, and develop kitchen colleagues, ensuring a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, and professional growth.Represent the culinary department during leadership meetings and act as a key figure in shaping the hotel’s food and beverage vision.About You
You will have proven experience as a Head Chef in a hotel, luxury dining environment, or high-volume kitchen.
