Head Barista

I will safeguard these pillars and ensure full knowledge and active participation of all our brand initiatives. **Duties and Responsibilities** As Head Barista, I will assume responsibility for the efficient operation in the following: + Manage seasonal menu updates and support creativity and new offerings across the outlet in collaboration with Head of bars. + Supervise stock and handle order and overall stock management on all food and beverage for the outlet. + Organize Supplier training and improve general coffee & tea knowledge. + Engage with coffee supplier and understand their philosophy. + Prepare and execute food item reheat recipes where require following standards provided by the Culinary team. + Support the production and mise en place for juices and smoothie program. + Assist in the control of outlet operational budget, ensuring that all costs are strictly controlled maximizing profitability. + Promote coffee consumption and tea blends by educating guests by selling coffee, tea blends and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies. + Prepare and sell coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, juices and smoothie. + Learn about different brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food and beverage quality. + Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar. **Qualifications** To execute the position of Head Barista, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following: + High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar setting. + Experience in coffee and tea brewing and know the coffee and tea production process from growth to final beverage. Understand the characteristics of the different types of coffee and tea and the roasting processes as well as knowledge on Fair Trade coffee. + Familiar with Food and beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory. + Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
