Here in France, you’ll help evolve and grow our business, successfully work with HBCE colleagues across multi-disciplinary teams to produce and own project delivery plan, business cases, validate and prioritise project requirements and manage the end-to-end delivery of the project requirements to comply with the directive.
The Credit and Capital Management Chief Operating Officer Value Stream is responsible for delivering high priority programmes to simplify, digitise at scale and automate the credit and lending journey, as well as supporting the creation of a new, globally consistent credit and lending organization serving CIB business lines which collectively build towards our vision of becoming a leader in digitally enabled domestic and cross border lending across network, by improving customer experience generating competitive advantage through use of data and participation in emerging borrowing models.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Managers to support the analysis, planning, and implementation of CRDVI
What you will do:
CRDVI (Capital Requirements Directive VI) is a new EU directive relating to cross-border banking business and third-country branches. As part of this directive’s Article 21C, from January 2027, non-European banks will no longer be able to provide cross border “core banking” services to European clients, unless the activity falls within limited exemptions or is covered by grandfathering provisions. This impacts all of HSBC’s cross-border deposit-taking, lending, and guarantee products or services to EU clients from non-EU entities.
In this role you will:
Gain complete understanding of what buisness wants to achieve, advise and challenge where appropriate and within bounds of responsibilities
Manage enhancements of systems, processes and operational models and their alignment to those of the Group and/or the Region, as required to comply with the directive, across businesses
Define the scope and outcomes, drawing up project plans, detailing timescales, resources, and budgets required
Identify roles and responsibilities, bring various teams together to deliver the projects
Oversee projects and monitor plans to ensure deadlines are met
Engage with key stakeholders and maintain pro-active open communication channels
Establish and maintain trusted relationship with stakeholders and business
Track project budgets throughout the lifecycle
Prepare and manage RAID and other mandatory governance
Liaise with other Project Managers (Global / Regional / Local), BA’s and programme leadership to identify potential synergies, challenges and interlocks
