Description: **Location:** Mattaponi Agg VA **Job Req ID:** 14382 Join our amazing team and contribute as a: Haul Truck Driver **ABOUT THE ROLE** Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Haul Truck Driver to support operations at the Mattaponi Quarry located in Aylett, Virginia. This position is primarily responsible to safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport raw materials (such as rock, gravel, and other aggregates) within the quarry site. **WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH** + Operate Haul Trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, or crushed stone within the quarry or plant site. + Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition. + Follow all safety rules and site regulations while operating vehicles on quarry or plant property. + Load and unload materials, coordinating with equipment operators and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow. + Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the truck, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. + Monitor truck gauges and fluid levels during operation and notify maintenance staff of any discrepancies. + Assist with general labor tasks around the site as needed when not driving. + Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. **WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR** + **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent + **Required Work Experience:** 6 months experience Preferred but not required. + Ability to operate haul trucks safely and efficiently within the quarry, plant, or lumber yard environment. + Willingness to learn and follow all safety protocols and company policies related to haul truck operation. + Ability to perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. + Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and take direction. + Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, equipment operators, and team members. + Physical ability to climb in and out of trucks and handle general labor tasks as needed. + Preferred: Previous experience or background working in the lumber industry is a plus, but not required. Willingness to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and learning. **Additional Requirements:** + Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
