Hardware System Engineer - FPGA

RBR-Technologies is seeking a Hardware System Engineer with FPGA experience to support one of our customers in Maryland.\n

RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nDesign and implement FPGA-based digital logic using VHDL or Verilog.\nDevelop simulation testbenches and verify designs using ModelSim or equivalent tools.\nSynthesize, place & route, and generate bitstreams using Xilinx tools (Vivado\/ISE).\nCollaborate with systems engineers and software developers to integrate hardware into embedded systems.\nPerform timing analysis, resource utilization reviews, and constraint optimization.\nDocument designs, test plans, and results in support of project requirements.\nParticipate in lab testing, debugging, and validation of FPGA designs on target hardware.\nManaging system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) - Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), etc.\n\n

REQUIREMENTS\n\nTS\/SCI with polygraph\nThis position can be filled a a level 1, 2, or 3 based upon experience. An SE1 requires 7 years of experience; an SE2 requires 14 years; an SE3 requires 20 years of experience\nDemonstrated experience in Systems Engineering efforts is required\nA bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required; 5 additional years of experience will be considered in Lieu of Degree.\n\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nFamiliarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or SoC integration.
experience with software programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Ruby on Rails.
Comfortable working in Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.
Experience with scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Tcl).
Understanding of high-speed digital design, interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, PCIe), and signal integrity.\n\n
