Hardware Lab Technician – Systems & Power

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking Hardware Lab Technician focused supporting system-level testing and power setup. The role is hands-on and mechanically driven, supporting engineers by preparing, configuring, and maintaining hardware systems used for validation and testing. You’ll work closely with lab and engineering teams to ensure systems are safely powered, properly configured, and ready for execution.
What You’ll Do
-Set up system switch power and related infrastructure for hardware testing
-Perform system-level hardware setup including wiring, cabling, and component installation
-Support mechanical assembly and reconfiguration of test systems and lab equipment
-Operate PCs to configure systems, run basic programs, and support test workflows
-Assist with basic electronic functions such as power-on checks, connectivity validation, and system bring-up
-Move, install, and reposition lab systems and equipment (10–100 lbs)
-Maintain organized lab spaces and ensure equipment is test-ready and safe to operate
PR: $22-25/hr.

Skills and Requirements
-Mechanical background or strong mechanical inclination
-Hands-on experience with wiring, cabling, and system setup
-Ability to operate a PC and work with basic software/programs for system configuration
-Understanding of basic electronic functions (power, connectivity, component interaction)
-Ability to lift and move equipment ranging from 10 to 100 lbs -Prior experience in a hardware or lab environment
-Familiarity with system power architecture and switch-based power setups
-Experience supporting hardware testing or validation teams
-Basic troubleshooting experience across hardware, cabling, or power-related issues
