Bosch eBike Systems, established in 2009 as a start-up within the Bosch Group, offers a comprehensive portfolio for eBikes (pedelecs) – a system comprising a drive unit, batteries, bicycle computers and digital services. Our Shenzhen branch and office was established in December 2018, and ever since our expanding team in Shenzhen brings innovation to the bicycle industry of eBikes. We are offering innovative products and solutions for the EB business unit “Connected Devices” to maintain and extend our leadership position in the market. “Connected Devises” comprises the eBike devices mounted to the handle bar and frame, acting as interface between bicycle rider and eBike system – in other words outdoor devices with displays, buttons, sensors and wireless connectivity functions.

Job DescriptionTake responsibility as HW engineer from requirements analysis, concept creation, design, and test HW electronic parts, mainly displays, remote controls and sensors.Take responsible as HW engineer for project industrialization and series maintenance and cost saving measures.Work in multidisciplinary international teams, organize to build-up and share HW engineering expertise.

Main tasks relevant

HW Design

You are responsible for translating product requirements into HW circuit designs and their testing.You are coordination of topics with the production plant and supplier, creation documents for mass production.You are member of the HW design team and cooperation with multidisciplinary international teams.

Industrialization phase (pre-SOP)

You are onsite responsible for production build support and analyze and evaluate the test data.You will identify and solve issues during ramp-up production.You will share your expertise to the team and alignment of the designs, test and specifications with other eBike locations.

Mass production and maintenance

You are member of the project team with the focus on product maintenance.You will support EMS supplier HW technical questions. For example, EQ/TQ, alternative component, evaluate test data etc.You will identify and solve issues during series production.

Qualifications

Education

Background in science or engineering (electronics, mechatronics, computer engineering), Bachelor or Master.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of work experience in electronics industries and/or electronics manufacturing.Experience in work in international and multidisciplinary teams.Experience in EMC-compliant design.

Capability, skills

Personal abilities expected: systematic, self-organized, problem solving, fast-learning, proactive, team player.Proficient communication and language skills in English to work in international project teams are mandatory.Willingness to travel domestic and overseas to suppliers and partners is expected.Knowledge is required in assembly and interconnect technologies (e. g. PCB, soldering, etc.).Knowledge is required in schematics and layout tools as Altium or Zuken is preferred.Knowledge is required on EMC-compliant standards, testing and debugging.Knowledge is required in high-speed signal, impedance matching, noise cancellation.Knowledge is expected in FMEA and DFM processKnowledge is expected in electronic outdoor consumer products.Knowledge is preferred about Bluetooth, embedded system, CAN communication, DCDC power, LDO, wireless charging, USB-C and/or PD.Knowledge is preferred about lithium battery and related certificationKnowledge is preferred in automotive development process and standard.
