Handyman – £15.75/hr – Bristol (Temporary)

Pay: £15.75 per hour
Hours: 08:00 – 16:00 (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Bristol West
Contract: Temporary – 4-5 Week contract
Start: ASAP

Pertemps recruitment are seeking a reliable and experienced Handyman to support a busy student accommodation site in Bristol.

The Role

You will be working room by room to ensure all areas are safe, functional, and ready for residents. Typical tasks include:
Fixing handles, locks, and other wear-and-tear itemsReplacing lightbulbs and basic electrical repairsCarrying out minor plumbing jobs (e.g. taps, leaks, unblocking drains, replacing shower doors etc.)Repairing furniture, fittings, and fixturesPainting touch-ups and minor decorating workChecking appliances and reporting faultsEnsuring each room meets health & safety standardsResponding promptly to maintenance requests from site leadersSupporting the wider site team to ensure rooms and facilities are ready for the new academic year
What We’re Looking For:Previous handyman/maintenance experienceAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyGood problem-solving skills and a proactive attitudeImmediate availability
