Job Title: Hand Weaver – Urgently Hiring (7 Openings, Direct Hire)

Pay: $20/hr + 10% shift differential ($22/hr total)
Annual merit raises, $1,000 sign-on bonus, full benefits

Hours: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM (4-day work week)

Start Date: ASAP (Approx. 3-week pre-employment process)

We are seeking Hand Weavers for direct hire positions with our client, a leading manufacturer of high-temperature materials and composites for aerospace and defense, located in Biddeford, Maine. Hand Weavers will work directly with carbon fiber material, creating intricate 3- and 4-directional weaves used in cutting-edge applications for NASA, the Department of Defense, and other advanced industries. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and motivated to grow within the aerospace manufacturing field.

This is a full-time, second-shift position in a climate-controlled environment with excellent growth potential and industry-leading benefits.
As a Hand Weaver, you will:
Perform repetitive hand weaving tasks, including using tools and applying physical force to weaving fixtures

Make needles, spools, and perform associated utility jobs

Inspect products to ensure specifications are met

Set up looms, perform rodding, weaving functions, documentation updates, in-process compressions, and frame installation

Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes and safety eyewear

Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

Support and participate in company-wide Lean improvement initiatives
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Education: High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)

Experience: Manufacturing exposure preferred, but not required

Skills: Excellent hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail, ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, and basic math skills (testing required)

Personal Characteristics: Safety-minded, reliable, motivated to grow, works well independently and in a team

Certifications/Licenses: None required, but must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Passport or ability to obtain one)

Physical Abilities: Able to lift 50 lbs as needed and stand for long periods of time
