The hairstylist cum makeup artist at Miraval The Red Sea plays a key role in delivering personalized, mindful beauty services that reflect Miraval's holistic philosophy of well-being. This role combines technical excellence in haircare and makeup artistry with a deep commitment to guest presence, transformation, and self-expression.
The hairstylist cum makeup artist offers a full range of services including styling, treatments, and makeup for daily wear or special occasions. Each service is designed to support inner and outer balance while contributing to a serene and luxurious guest experience. This role also supports upselling of services and wellness offerings, promotes retail sales, and contributes to guest satisfaction and positive review performance.
Key responsibilities Hair styling & treatment services Provide expert haircuts, blow-drying, styling, and nourishing treatments. Tailor services to the unique needs, preferences, and hair types of each guest. Recommend appropriate home care routines and luxury haircare products. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, tools, and techniques to ensure excellence. Makeup & beauty services Deliver high-quality makeup applications for day, evening, wellness retreats, and events. Conduct personalized consultations to align each look with guest features and intentions. Use premium cosmetics and maintain elevated hygiene and safety standards. Offer guidance on skincare and beauty products available for retail. Guest experience & Miraval philosophy alignment Ensure all services are delivered in a mindful, guest-centered manner aligned with Miraval's values of presence, intention, and balance. Provide a calm, polished, and professional atmosphere within the salon. Build strong, trusting relationships with guests by offering thoughtful, consistent care. Contribute actively to positive guest feedback and satisfaction ratings through elevated service delivery. Safety, hygiene & brand standards Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment care at all times. Follow spa protocols for safety, guest privacy, and respect for the multicultural environment. Adhere to local regulations and resort standards for hygiene and professional conduct. Cross-functional collaboration & events Support VIP guest requests, wellness retreat offerings, and photo shoots. Collaborate with spa, salon, and wellness teams to ensure coordinated guest journeys. Assist with event preparation, experience scheduling, and smooth service execution. Revenue generation & upselling Actively recommend and upsell treatments, service enhancements, and wellness experiences. Support retail sales through product education and personalized suggestions. Contribute to departmental revenue goals while ensuring guest satisfaction remains the priority. Promote spa loyalty and engagement through thoughtful follow-ups and relationship building. Qualifications Qualifications & experience Certified and licensed hairstylist with formal training in cutting, styling, and treatments. Certification in professional makeup artistry, with experience in bridal and event applications. Minimum 2 years of experience in a luxury resort, spa, or salon setting. Skilled in working with a variety of hair types, face shapes, and skin tones. Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage. Familiarity with high-end product lines for both hair and makeup preferred. Skills & abilities Strong technical capabilities in hairdressing and makeup artistry. Warm, professional, and attentive approach to guest care. Ability to work in a multicultural setting with respect, discretion, and poise. Organized and efficient with time management, scheduling, and multitasking.
