Responsibilities:
Maintains and cleans equipment as requested by Registered Nurse.Performs other transportation functions as required including but not limited to delivery of patient specimens, medical records and patient care equipment.Collaborates with members of health care team to promote patient care and overall functioning of unit.Prepares rooms for admissions and discharges. Keeps the patient areas neat and uncluttered.Organizes and cleans supply rooms and maintains established supply levels.Other duties as assigned.Education:
High School Diploma or GED.Certifications:
None required.Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking, customer service, teamwork, multi-tasking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Demonstrates a positive, concerned and sensitive response in the work place.Interacts with patient, visitors and all personnel in a courteous, helpful manner; and constructively resolves conflict.Maintains confidentiality regarding patients, families and co-workers.Demonstrates respect for individual cultural and social differences.Work Experience:
Health care experience preferred.Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and frequent patient lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.Requires frequent standing, walking, bending/stooping, kneeling, reaching and squatting.Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.Personal Protective Equipment:
