H&S Supervisor
Join our dynamic team as a Health & Safety Supervisor in the thriving energy sector! This is an exciting opportunity to lead HSSE initiatives for a major project in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, where your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all stakeholders involved.
Role Overview Embed and deploy the aims of the HSSE Policies into the Project, adhering to contract specifications. Integrate technical safety, health, environmental, and security reviews into project activities. Liaise with Risk Management to identify project risks and develop mitigation controls. Oversee the development of the Project Execution Plan - HSSE, ensuring alignment with project requirements. Develop the HSE Assessment and Loss Prevention Inspection Plan. Review project documentation to ensure comprehensive HSSE coverage. Collaborate with Project R3 for cross-functional engagement. Accountable for project HSSE performance reporting and communicate findings to the Project Management Team. Participate in project start-up processes, ensuring clarity on HSSE standards among EPC contractors. Facilitate the implementation of HSE processes and promote safe work practices across the project organization. Develop and implement HSE awareness campaigns, fostering a culture of safety. Skills & Qualifications Safety & Health Education & Training: Expertise in educating teams on safety protocols. General Safety & Health Compliance: Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and standards. Accident Investigation: Proficient in conducting thorough investigations to prevent future incidents. Education & Experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred. Certifications: NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety certification is advantageous. Experience: Minimum 5 years in health and safety management within the energy or construction sectors.
