🗓️ Monday to Friday, 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM | 🔐 Baseline Security Clearance Required (or willing to obtain)
Join BGIS in a rewarding and active role as a Lifeguard / Gym Attendant based at HMAS Watson. You’ll be part of a supportive team delivering essential wellbeing services to the defence community in a structured and safety-first environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Monitor gym and pool areas to ensure the safety of all users Perform First Aid and emergency response when needed Open and close the gym, ensuring cleanliness and readiness Support Physical Training Instructors (PTIs) with setup and equipment Manage bookings, check IDs, and assist with member sign-ins Maintain loan equipment and manage inventory Report maintenance issues and contribute to stocktakes Work independently while ensuring compliance with safety protocolsWhat You’ll Bring
Current First Aid and Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard certificate (required) Ability to demonstrate strong swimming skills (must reach 6m pool depth within 6 months) Excellent communication and customer service skills Reliability, professionalism, and a proactive attitude Willingness to obtain Baseline Security Clearance Availability for weekday shifts (overtime available on weekends at other sites)Why Join BGIS?
