The Associate Manager assists management team in planning, directing, designing, and executing IT-related activities and programs that are of a complex and critical nature. The Band D Associate Manager selects, leads, counsels, motivates, sets expectations and evaluates medium to large teams. Additionally, they confer with and advise direct reports on administrative policies and procedures, risks, issues, problem resolution, sourcing decisions, budget and priorities. This person also assists in defining, implementing and prioritizing IT policies, procedures, and best practices. The Associate Manager impacts team and business results.

Accountable for leading a team of engineers in the Digital Claims Digital Product team in the Canadian ‘Use My Protection’ product family. The successful candidate will help drive the deliverables of the project as well as the harmonization of team needs and capability with delivery requirements and other stakeholders within the delivery ecosystem across multiple functional areas/vendors.
This role includes ownership of the Canadian Digital FNOL implementation, Yukon, alongside the Guidewire suites of Vendor engage and Contact Manager.
A key aspect of this role will be to identify opportunities and implement solutions that align to the C3 vision, reusing capabilities in the wider Allstate, aligning to target state architecture.
There will also be an opportunity to work closely with the other four Digital Product teams in Use My protection as a Product family.
Role Requirements
Guidewire Certified to a minimum of Associate Developer. Professional and ACE certifications in Guidewire would be a big advantage.Managing integration engineers as part of a wider cross functional team agile XP teamLeading complex integration features ensuring quality, accuracy and attention to detailParticipate in and provide solutioning for Claims Guidewire and Non-Guidewire Integration enhancements, leveraging Integration gateway where applicable.Working with Lead Engineer, Lead Digital Product Manager to ensure features are appropriately sized and prioritizedEnsure ITSM ITIL Practices are followed such as Incident management, Problem Management, Change ManagementHelp troubleshooting Data integration issues and ensuring timely resolutionGeneral management and administration.As a people leader, you will bring out the best in your team through coaching and mentoring, empowering them to make decisions.Qualifications:
5 or more years’ experience in an Integrations Engineering roleStrong knowledge with SDLC, Agile and/or other recognized software development and project management methodologies.Knowledge of Integration Technologies such as GOSU, Jutro, Java Spring, REST, React.Proven track record of leading successful complex integrationsTechnical understanding of Claims processing and associated data flowsBonus qualification:
Guidewire Associate Developer Integration certification desirable but not mandated.
