Guest Services Representative - Lorain Hospital

This is a PRN "As Needed" Position

Summary

Demonstrating excellent customer service, greets, guides and assists patients entering the site.  Accurately performs physician practice front desk functions maximizing the use of self-service kiosks, including patient registration, scheduling, check-in/check-out, while maintaining a high level of professional customer service. Directs or escorts patients and visitors to clinic appointments and other patient care areas.  Shifts responsibilities weekly to cover registration, patient triage/kiosk, and rounding with patients. Exceptional customer service, accuracy and timeliness in all responsibilities is required.  Role requires significant time standing and serving others.  

Essential Functions

Greeting All who enter the hospital

Giving directions to areas of the hospitals Obtaining room numbers

for visitors, receive flowers and dropped off items to patient rooms

Tracking visitor's destination (time of entry, room they are

visiting, number of people in group) Signing out scooters

Required Skills:

Demonstrating excellent hospitality, welcomes and assists patients, visitors, vendors and staff while covering patient experience related duties from Main Information Desk, and Waiting Areas.Demonstrates standards of excellence in care in all interactions, for both internal and external customers. Rounds with patients to be sure they have completed necessary paperwork (either on kiosk, tablet, my chart).Performs office administrative duties in an accurate, professional and organized manner, keeping work area clean and organized.Requires judgment in selection of alternative courses of action. Demonstrates critical thought process and can work independently. Performs analyses and makes recommendations regarding utilization of resources. Coordinates work with others.
