At **Grand Hyatt Barcelona** , one of the city’s newest luxury landmarks, we are looking for a service‑driven and detail‑oriented **Guest Services Officer – Front Office** to join our Rooms team. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering personalized service, creating memorable guest experiences, and representing the essence of luxury hospitality from the very first interaction.
Working in a dynamic and international environment, the Guest Services Officer plays a key role in ensuring a seamless arrival, stay, and departure experience for all our guests.
**About the Role**
As a Guest Services Officer – Front Office, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for welcoming them with warmth and professionalism while ensuring smooth and efficient Front Office operations. You will coordinate closely with internal departments to anticipate guest needs, handle requests, and contribute to overall guest satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Guest Experience & Front Desk Operations**
+ Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure a seamless check‑in and check‑out experience in line with brand standards
+ Provide personalized assistance and respond to guest requests efficiently and with genuine care
+ Prepare room keys, welcome letters, and guest preference information prior to arrival
+ Monitor daily arrivals, departures, and in‑house guests to proactively anticipate needs
**Coordination & Internal Communication**
+ Coordinate room assignments, amenities, VIP setups, and special requests
+ Maintain clear and effective communication with Housekeeping, Concierge, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
+ Support daily Front Office briefings and contribute to service alignment across teams
**Service Recovery & Guest Feedback**
+ Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and positive outcomes
+ Escalate issues when necessary while maintaining ownership and follow‑up
**Service Excellence & Brand Representation**
+ Represent the **Grand Hyatt** brand with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail at all times
+ Contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives and uphold Hyatt service standards
**Qualifications:**
**Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in **English and Spanish** , both spoken and written; additional languages are a plus
+ Previous experience in **Front Office operations** or coordinating group stays in large‑capacity hotels
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, solution‑oriented attitude
+ Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a collaborative team
+ Familiarity with hotel systems such as **PMS and Channel Managers** ; experience with **Opera** is an advantage
