The Guest Services & Night Audit Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring accurate financial reporting during overnight hours. This hybrid role combines front desk operations such as greeting, registering, and assisting guests with night audit responsibilities, including posting and balancing daily transactions to maintain the hotel’s financial integrity.
What will I be doing?
As a Guest Services Agent, & Night Audit Associate you would be responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Guest Services Responsibilities:
Greet guests and complete the check-in process, including verifying information, assigning rooms, issuing keys, and promoting hotel services.
Assist guests with check-out, ensuring accurate billing and processing of payments (cash, credit/debit cards, gift certificates).
Provide information on hotel amenities, local attractions, and promotions; respond promptly to guest inquiries.
Utilize up-selling techniques to maximize occupancy and revenue.
Handle guest complaints professionally, research issues, and resolve concerns to ensure satisfaction.
Receive, input, and relay messages accurately.
Night Audit Responsibilities:
Audit, post, and balance daily financial transactions for all hotel departments.
Verify and reconcile room charges, taxes, and other revenue streams.
Prepare and distribute daily reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and hotel policies.
Monitor and maintain accurate records of cash and credit transactions.
General:
Maintain a high level of professionalism and hospitality at all times.
Follow safety, security, and confidentiality procedures.
