GTM Lead - Direct Material Sourcing

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to head our Global Go-to-Market efforts for SAP’s **Direct Material Sourcing** solution. This high-impact role is responsible for defining and executing the global strategy to drive adoption, expand market share, and support strategic deals for one of SAP Procurement’s most important growth bets. You will lead the global go-to-market motion, with an initial focus on the Automotive and Discrete Manufacturing industries, building deep relationships with OEMs, establishing an executive network, and extending into Aerospace & Defense and Life Sciences. This role requires a strong ability to engage with C-level executives, both internally and externally, to influence strategic decisions and articulate the differentiated value of Direct Material Sourcing. You will play a critical role in setting the vision for value realization, helping customers understand the business impact of transforming their sourcing processes with SAP. **What You’ll Do:** **Define and Execute Strategy:** + Develop and lead the global go-to-market strategy for Direct Material Sourcing, aligning with sales, marketing, and product leadership. + Build targeted account programs for a dedicated OEM customer list, with expansion into Aerospace & Defense and Life Sciences **Drive Sales Growth:** + Partner with regional sales leaders to identify and execute high-value opportunities, directly contributing to revenue targets. + Establish an Automotive Roundtable and executive network to drive thought leadership, co-innovation, and pipeline generation **Market & Product Expertise:** + Maintain a deep understanding of the direct material sourcing market, competitive landscape, industry trends, and buyer priorities. + Work closely with Product Management to ensure alignment on roadmap, innovation, and GTM execution **Strategic Deal Support:** + Provide hands-on support for strategic, complex deals, including positioning, objection handling, value articulation, and executive engagement. + Lead “win rooms” for top opportunities, leveraging internal and partner expertise to close critical deals **Stakeholder Collaboration:** + Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, Executive Leadership, SAP partners, and customers to ensure alignment and impact. + Partner with adoption teams to ensure customers are successful in their deployment and driving measurable value **Enablement & Content:** + Oversee creation of go-to-market playbooks, industry-specific assets, competitive positioning materials, and training to equip the field **Partnerships:** + Engage with the most influential industry partners (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Capgemini) and expert implementation partners (e.g., Aventi, Apsolut) to shape deals and accelerate adoption. **What You Bring:** + Proven experience (10 years) in enterprise software sales, go-to-market leadership, or strategic deal support, ideally within procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing technology. + Strong leadership experience in a global capacity. + Deep understanding of complex manufacturing industries, with specific expertise in Automotive and Discrete Manufacturing; Aerospace & Defense and Life Sciences knowledge is a plus. + Proven ability to communicate and influence at the C-suite level, both internally and with customers. + Expertise in value-based selling, with a track record of helping customers understand and realize measurable business value. + Exceptional communication, executive presence, and influencing skills. + Strategic thinker with a bias for action and results. + Strong connections in the partner ecosystem and industry networks **Bring out your best** SAP innovations help more than four hundred thousand customers worldwide work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $340,400 - $578,700 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
