**About the role**
The Groups Meetings & Events Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales activity in order to maximise rooms, groups, conference and events revenue through pro\-active selling and conversion of customer enquiries into confirmed sales\.
**What will I be doing?**
+ The management of the team on a daily basis
+ Up skilling of Conferencing & Events team
+ Manage the relationship and business processes between C&E Sales & C&E Operations
+ Manage departmental productivity
+ Recruitment, training and development of the team
+ Regularly review and manage individual and team performance against objectives and provide feedback
+ Provide relevant coaching to the team
+ Developing and implementing individual team members and both department training plans to meet business needs
**What are we looking for?**
To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
+ Experience of managing a team
+ Ability to motivate a team
+ Ability to develop team
+ Able to collect and analyse relevant information and provide solutions\.
+ Previous Conferencing & Events Sales experience
+ Demonstrated attention to detail, while multi\-tasking and delivering work on time
+ Ability to work productively despite multiple interruptions
