A soulful place that celebrates the natural Hudson Valley beauty where guests gather on milestones of education, training and professional achievement for a toast while engaging in the wellness of the pristine outdoors. • 248 well appointed guestrooms • Over 70K square feet of state of the art meeting & event space • Three food & beverage outlets • 62+ acres of trails, expansive fitness center, basketball, team-building, volleyball and your imagination Overview Group Sales Manager (Association Markets) The Windrose On Hudson is seeking a creative, proactive salesperson to promote and sell to the Association and ‘SMERF’ markets, maximize room and banquet revenue impact through phone and email solicitation, in-person meetings, and other market sales actions. You'll serve as the hotel representative to prospective clients and customers who are seeking, meeting, learning and retreat spaces. You will actively sell, and administrate opportunity proposals and contracts and be responsible for driving customer & guest loyalty by delivering service excellence through each customer/guest experience. It will be expected for the candidate to qualify and respond to sales inquiries in a timely manner and develop new business opportunities by researching prospects utilizing sales tools such as Delphi, CVENT, and participation in ESSAE and Metro NYSAE, and MPI Upstate Chapter events. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales goals, preferably in the Association Markets, and be a creative problem solver, team player, and is open to learning and leading by example. Salary range is $65,000 to $75,000 plus a Sales Incentive Plan paid quarterly, based on booking prodution, up to an addtional 20% of salary. Meet, greet, and entertain potential clients, providing information regarding the property to promote and increase sales. Generate requests for proposals and manage efforts to secure Association and Social, Military, Educational, Religious and Fraternal group business in those markets. Negotiate contracts ensuring that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Supervise the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings, working closely with other departments to ensure that the guest specifications are met and their satisfaction is achieved. Represent the hotel in trade shows, maintaining high visibility and positive relations in relative business organizations. Sales Strategy Planning and Sales Performance Reporting. Must meet or exceed annual goals/targets of position. Must be willing to travel to tradeshows, events in market, primarily in NY, NJ, and Connecticut markets. Qualifications Must be able to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business and meet client needs. This position may require occasional travel for client visits, sales calls, and events. Must be a team player who loves to apply creativity and a good sense of humor to the sales process. The ability to listen, speak and write in English to ascertain information and respond to clients is a must. Independent, high energy, entrepreneurial Sales professionals will excel. Knowledge of hotel structure and how all departments interact is a plus. Experienced in Amadeus / Delphi or similar space / rooms inventory systems is certainly highly important A minimum of 2-5 years of hotel sales experience is required. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $65,000.00/Yr. - $75,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
