What you’ll do

As an integral member of Simplii Financials’ Product Management team reporting to Director of Product Management, the Group Product Manager owns a broad portfolio of everyday banking products and services. You will be responsible for a significant product journey or major features within everyday banking. You will drive the product roadmap, prioritize initiatives, and deliver measurable results by balancing customer needs, technology capabilities, and business objectives. Accountability for outcomes is paramount.

At Simplii Financial we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

Product Ownership - Take accountability for a major product feature or journey, including setting and tracking KPIs such as adoption, conversion, and quality. Balance customer insight, technology, and business goals to maximize impact. Synthesize complex information for varied audiences, including team members and stakeholders. Build compelling stories to align teams and influence outcomes. Write PRDs.

Discovery & Customer Insight - Lead structured discovery for new features, analyze customer data to uncover insights, segment users, and build business cases for new opportunities. Frame problems and define opportunities to enhance the customer experience. Vision & Roadmap - Develop a clear vision for your product journey, define roadmap themes and success criteria, and communicate these to stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Create compelling narratives that guide squad priorities.

Planning & Execution - Manage complex initiatives, track dependencies and risks, and own delivery KPIs such as velocity, predictability, quality, and time to market. Ensure initiatives are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration - Lead cross-functional pods, working closely with engineering, design, analytics, risk, marketing, and operations. Remove blockers, resolve conflicts, and drive decisions to keep projects moving forward.

Data-Driven Decision Making - Use analytics, experimentation, and customer insights to inform decisions. Prioritize product improvements and validate direction through metrics and opportunity sizing.

Who you are

You have 5-7+ years’ experience managing product features or journeys in fintech or financial services, with a track record of driving adoption and delivering measurable outcomes.

You are skilled in strategic thinking, customer discovery, and execution, using data and customer insights to guide decisions.

You understand Canadian regulatory frameworks and incorporate compliance and risk into product decisions.

You are adept at working in cross-functional teams, resolving issues, and driving consensus across diverse stakeholder groups that Product interacts with.

You communicate clearly and effectively, tailoring messages for different audiences.

You are committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
