Job Description

Position Summary:

Performing both technical and personnel aspects of group operations; performing work within the department or other areas as required; acting as a technical resource, trainer, and troubleshooter to specific department; making recommendations for operational and/or technical improvements; communicating effectively within the group; coaching and developing reports; planning and monitoring workflow

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateDemonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityEnsure that the quality policy program is understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels of the organization; identify, prevent, or correct any departures from the quality systemPerform work for both routine and non-routine work as specified by separate and applicable technical job description for individualDevelop and implement operational improvementsSupervise others in performing client’s service requirementsCoach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvementsCoordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TATConduct semiannual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growthConfront and address problems, concerns, and performance issuesCoach and develop individual and team to maximize performanceFoster motivation and moraleMonitor and approve employees’ time worked through time-entry systemSupport and promote company policies and proceduresExpand self-awareness and develop leadership skills as defined; attend applicable leadership training based on identified needsPerform and/or assign other duties as requested to ensure smooth operation of departmentPerform all functions in support of and in compliance with all state and federal employment regulationsConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent training,At least 8 semester credit-hours of Chemistry coursework,;Knowledge of personal computer systemsProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.Authorization to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship

Ideal Candidates will have: 

Two years of experience in environmental testing, metals preferredExperience with ICP-MS and ICP-OES instrumentationExperience with metals preparation and digestion proceduresPrevious leadership experience 

Additional Information

Position is located onsite, in our Lancaster, PA laboratory. The Position hours are M-F 8 AM- 5 PM
