What You'll Do Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Quanta Data Centers Group, providing timely, practical, and business-oriented legal counsel.Partner closely with business leadership on strategic initiatives, project development, commercial strategy, customer matters, and risk mitigation.Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including construction, EPC, master services, subcontractor, vendor, confidentiality, and related project agreements.Advise on legal and business risks associated with data center infrastructure projects, including contract terms, project delivery models, claims, dispute avoidance, indemnity, insurance, limitation of liability, and change management.Coordinate with Quanta’s corporate legal, risk management, compliance, finance, tax, treasury, safety, and operations teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.Support governance, internal approvals, and legal processes for major pursuits, awards, and project execution activities.Provide counsel on disputes, claims, contract interpretation, and commercial issue resolution.Help develop and maintain legal templates, playbooks, processes, and best practices specific to data center opportunities and operations.Manage outside counsel as needed, including scope, budget, strategy, and work product.Monitor legal, regulatory, and commercial trends impacting data center infrastructure and advise leadership on relevant risks and opportunities.Support other legal matters and strategic projects as assigned by the Executive Vice President and General Counsel. What You'll Bring Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Significant legal experience advising on complex commercial, construction, infrastructure, energy, engineering, or project-based matters.Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.Demonstrated ability to advise senior business leaders on legal risk in a practical, solutions-oriented manner.Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.Strong understanding of contract risk allocation, indemnity, insurance, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and project execution risk.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across legal, operational, financial, and executive teams.Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and decision-making skills.Ability to travel as needed to support business priorities.Prior experience supporting data center, power, utility, renewable energy, industrial, EPC, or large-scale infrastructure projects.Experience serving as a dedicated legal advisor to a business unit, operating group, or executive leadership team.In-house legal experience with a public company or large project-based organization.Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets.Familiarity with construction claims, project controls, change orders, and dispute avoidance strategies.
