The Group Director of People & Culture oversees the full HR function across all Hotelleading, managed properties, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, brand standards, and local labor regulations. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that attract, retain, and develop top talent, while nurturing a culture of excellence, accountability, and wellbeing. The position partners closely with General Managers, Corporate Directors, and the Executive Committee to implement systems and processes covering recruitment, training, performance management, compensation, and employee engagement across all hotels in the group.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Strategic Leadership
· Develop and implement the Group HR, People & Culture strategy in alignment with the company’s operational and business objectives.
· Act as a trusted advisor to the COO and Executive Committee on organizational development, culture, and workforce planning.
· Ensure HR policies, procedures, and systems are harmonized across all properties and aligned with Hilton brand standards.
· Talent Acquisition & Development
· Lead the end-to-end recruitment and selection process for management and key hotel positions.
· Oversee onboarding programs ensuring smooth integration and strong cultural alignment.
· Design and implement training and leadership development programs (including the Hotelleading Learning Institute).
· Support succession planning and career pathing for key roles across the group.
· Performance Management
· Oversee the performance appraisal system and individual performance frameworks.
· Guide department heads in setting SMART objectives and maintaining consistent evaluation standards.
· Monitor employee engagement and retention metrics, proposing improvement initiatives.
· Employee Relations & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with Greek labor laws, collective agreements, and Hilton HR standards.
· Advise and coach management on disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations matters.
· Ensure payroll level and cost is monitored and in line with budget/goal and KPI.
· Maintain a positive and transparent work environment, promoting teamwork and respect.
· Compensation & Benefits
· Supervise payroll coordination and ensure consistency in salary structures, benefits, and incentive programs.
· Conduct periodic market benchmarking to maintain competitive compensation frameworks.
· Lead the HR team across all hotels, providing guidance and ensuring professional development.
· Manage HR reporting, KPIs, and workforce analytics to support strategic decisions.
· Support CSR, wellbeing, and diversity initiatives at group level.
Work Experience
Skills & Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
· Experience: Minimum 4+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role within the hospitality sector.
· Strong knowledge of Greek labor law, HR policies, and brand HR standards (Hilton or other international chains).
· Proven experience in multi property or cluster HR management.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Strategic thinker with strong organizational and problem solving abilities.
· Fluency in Greek and English (spoken and written)
· High integrity, emotional intelligence, and a people-first mindset.
