About the role:    

CHANEL is looking for a Group Director, Supply Chain Systems - Fashion/Watches & Fine Jewelry (WFJ) to join our Corporate IT Applications Team in Piscataway, New Jersey. This Supply Chain Systems Director will play a leading role in enhancing our WMS System Architecture and Service Model for our Supply Chain – Fashion/WFJ.  This role will ensure the product vision of the regional US business aligns with the technical components of the Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS).  This role will involve leading the support team, guiding best practices, managing data flows, and overseeing data architecture.  The ideal candidate will have experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and prioritizing enhancements to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.  

 

This position and our ideal candidate interfaces with several groups in Tech and is a key partner for the Fashion & WFJ Operations and Sales Planning Groups.  Will also interact with Global teams and 3rd party partners/vendors. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of years of experience and a passion for working in a team environment.   

 What impact you can create at CHANEL:   

Implement new functionality and direct support for existing functionality within the Supply Chain system landscape including: Manhattan WMS + Dynamix AX / SAP

Structure and manage service level agreements (SLAs) for business support, ensuring clear expectations and performance standards 

Participate in senior level meetings (i.e. Leadership Team, Governance and Strategy) for Fashion and Watches & Fine Jewelry divisions   

Work with business partners to assess software solutions for key initiatives  

Manage cross-functional teams (‘IT’ resources – internal & external and end-users) associated with projects for any of the above systems 

Create project plans for all work tasks associated the implementation of new functionality 

Identify implementation risks and strategies to mitigate them 

Manage the creation and execution of test plans 

Manage the creation and execution of training plans as necessary 

Communicate project status to business and IT stakeholders 

Partner with other IT leaders on strategic initiatives in the area of Sales Omni-channel strategy

What you will bring to the team:   

Expertise in Manhattan WMS Required  

Knowledge of Sales Order process, Replenishment process, Order Management System (OMS) and business processes and related systems 

ERP system support experience, SAP and/or Dynamix AX knowledge preferred 

Strong focus on people management, with excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills 

Demonstrated expertise in project management, including a solid understanding of Agile methodologies 

Proven track record in delivering large-scale complex technology projects which meet the needs of users while driving business objectives 

Strong relationship building, navigating matrixed global organization & diverse work environment with diplomacy, respect and curiosity 

Manage the project budget, resources, and timelines while delivering quality product that align with CHANEL brand's values and client / advisor expectations 

Curious, analytical, and problem-solving mindset   

Capable of managing team workloads, assigning tasks and overseeing risk management and quality assurance 

Able to deliver expected outputs on time and within budgeted hours 

Experiences in managing user populations of 10-30 users, ensuring their needs are met 

Skilled at determining architectural implications and identifying optimal solutions for complex business problems 

Strong focus on people management, with excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills 

Demonstrated expertise in project management, including a solid understanding of Agile methodologies 

Proven track record in delivering large-scale complex technology projects which meet the needs of users while driving business objectives 

Ability to identify and action on potential risks developing mitigation strategies to deliver a successful product 

Effectively manage stakeholder relationships, communicate progress, and ensure that the project team is aligned on business and tech goals 

  

Position Logistics:   

Role requires a minimum of three (3) days in-person office presence at the Piscataway, New Jersey office and distribution center  

Role will be based in Piscataway, New Jersey 

Minimum of 10 years' work experience in Supply Chain IT Systems and WMS 

WMS Manhattan systems experience required  

Some After Hours support required, on call as necessary to support business / supply chain 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience  

 

 Compensation:  

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $134,900 - $180,000.  Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
