Overview You will lead the work on some of the most popular consumer brands in the world, impacting the daily lives of nearly 2 billion people in the fastest growing region in the world. You will work for clients who not only care about success in the marketplace, but are passionate about the role of brands in helping bring about social change. The Group Account Director is responsible for the overall management of a client account including creation and communication of effective brand strategies, annual fee and contract negotiations, account staffing and oversight of all client relations and presentations; and provides high level support and oversight to an Account Service team. Responsibilities Expectations of a Group Account Director Manages a portfolio of brands Along with Creative Directors and Strategic Planner, sets creative and strategic tone for client account Partners with Senior Planners to develop and implement highly interactive strategic plans for brand Problem solves on high level account and production issues and knows when to involve Managing Director Builds and maintains top level client relationships; acts as key contact to clients; attends all high-profile campaign presentations, shoots and edits Oversees annual fee and contract negotiations and other broad budget issues; works closely with Finance on contract and fee proposals; recommends staffing adjustments as necessary based on increase or decrease in annual fee Leads weekly/monthly client revenue tracking and analyzes revenue impact on account and agency profitability Develop tailored proposals and solutions that align with clients evolving business and marketing priorities to support long-term account growth Responsible for the overall profitability (P&L) of their accounts, proactively identifying ways to optimize revenue and operational efficiency Provides strategic steer on accounts, ensuring the work ladders up to the client’s broader business goals and brand ambitions Manages and facilitates new business pitches when requested by Managing Director Committed to constantly improving our work, and how we work Always on a look out for opportunities to cross-sell within the Groupe Maintains a sense of discretion and professionalism, representing the Groupe Qualifications Expectations as a member of our community You believe passionately in the power of creativity to bring change to the world. Mentor and trains team members, write performance reviews, and allocate work Monitor teams to deliver beyond client’s expectations Motivate your team, and be the glue that keeps teams going Set goals and KPIs for each team member, and works with them to achieve these Additional information Special requirements Required 10+ years with ATL, social, digital and production experience in a creative advertising agency Deep understanding of the above verticals production steps and processes – responsible for high level communication to clients Able to navigate and integrate paid media planning strategy from our media team across ATL and social to drive effective, full-funnel campaigns – responsible for high level communication to clients Capable of writing a thoughtful interactive business strategy presentation dissecting a client’s platform or social landscape, highlighting current trends in digital, media, technology and advertising that may be utilized to grow their business Understands how social, media, experiential, ATL, search, etc all co-exist Able to effectively interpret and lead regarding measurement reporting, whether regarding standard or rich media advertising or social Rallies behind interactive briefs and pushes clients and creatives to explore new interactive projects Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills required Strong financial understanding of budgeting, estimating and agency profitability A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees Highly organized with a keen sense of attention to detail Exceptional initiative and follow through skills
