The Grounds Maintenance Technician performs routine and preventative landscaping activities on the Clay National Guard Center. Landscaping Responsibilities-Primary + Mow grass, trim hedges and trees, weed eat, lay pine straw and mulch; + Operate and utilize power mowers (push, riding, and zero-turn); + Operate two-cycle equipment and hand tools; + Apply herbicides and pesticides to treat insects, weeds, parking lots, and fence lines; + May plant grass, shrubs, and trees; + Must be able to maintain and account for tools and equipment; + Collect trash and debris located throughout the grounds at CNGC; + Perform preventative maintenance on all grounds equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, golf-cart engines); + Assist maintenance supervisor during down time due to weather or other circumstances; + Other duties as assigned.
