Travel to other Georgia Army National Guard locations around the metro Atlanta area may be required. Duties and Responsibilities: Under general supervision, performs multiple-types of grounds-related work, including mowing and edging, repairs to grounds maintenance equipment, and basic concrete pour and finishing work. Completes paperwork as required and follows all applicable safety rules and guidelines. NOTE: The selected applicant will work outdoors in extreme temperatures and will be exposed to loud noises and fumes from herbicide application, gasoline, and two cycle engines. Manual labor required with heavy lifting of landscape materials, bending, digging, planting, pruning, lawn care, and herbicide application. Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: Job-related experience in nursery, landscaping, or grounds maintenance operations. The selected applicant will have the additional following requirements: 1. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. 2. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test. 3. Must pass a pre-employment background check (which includes criminal records check, driver's history and verification of work history) and a post-hire federal background investigation.
