The Opportunity
This position works out of our Plymouth, MN location in the Electrophysiology Medical Device Group. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
The Gross Margin Improvements Engineering Lead will drive the Margin Improvement program for Electrophysiology. With a developed technical and financial acumen, the incumbent will identify and implement high impact/large scale initiatives to deliver sustainable improvement to gross margin. You will collaborate across cross-functional division leadership to gain broad alignment for the long-term strategy, as well as short-term execution of critical projects and programs.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on lean and continuous improvementExperience working in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments is a plusStrong proficiency in project management tools and methodologiesFamiliarity and experience working across functions (e.g., Operations/Supply Chain, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, R&D, Finance, HR, et. al.); natural tendency to think about key questions/issues from an integrated, cross-functional perspective.Exceptional project management skills, with proven ability to clearly define objectives and priorities, establish milestones, anticipate, and mitigate risks, lead cross-functional teams to meet and exceed goals in a dynamic environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail and quick recall.Demonstrated ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative data through analysis, identify insights, and translate to actions.Experienced managing ambiguity and proactively sensing risks; demonstrated ability to uncover hidden (or less obvious) risks, take ownership of problems, exercise sound judgment and independently determine appropriate course of action where precedent may not exist.An approachable and credible communication style, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, to keep all levels of the organization informed, engaged, and motivated.Excellent collaboration skills – able to navigate complex matrix within the Division and the broader Abbott organization to ensure alignment of priorities and partnership throughout program execution.Apply Now

The base pay for this position is $111,300.00 – $222,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
