The scope of the Grinding Operator is responsible and accountable for ensuring all raw materials are appropriately dosed and batched to standard formulas. The Grinding Operator will work several positions throughout the site with the intent of preparing and mixing ingredients.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma / GED
Forklift experience required
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; must be coachable
Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment
Ability to act with disciplined initiative
Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
Good verbal and written communication skills
1+ years’ experience within manufacturing, technical and/or trade discipline
Comfortable working with different business systems like SAP, ATMS and week plan.
B-Lingual English / Spanish Preferred
Physical Requirements:
Lifting/carrying (10-55 lbs.) and pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping
Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment
Ability to stand and / or work on your feet for extended periods
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Operate mixing, grinding, material handling, and cleaning equipment and systems
Operate Grinding Tower systems in accordance with Operating Procedures in a safe, productive, and efficient manner at all times
Perform Grinding Tower operational activity according to production and planning schedules and requirements
Perform periodic and routine inventories of raw materials in storage and adjust production quantity based on inventory
Receive and unload raw materials and supplies from delivery equipment
Provide and perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
Provide reporting and documentation of Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation activities in accordance Operating Procedures
Assist in other production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality activity in other areas as directed
Provide functional communications with other staff members as necessary to optimize quality, efficiency, productivity and safety
Perform all duties in compliance with Quality Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
Adherent to all safety requirements
Perform housekeeping and sanitation procedures in accordance with Food Safety and Sanitation Program
