**Job Title: Grinder/Shop Labor** **Job Description** As a Metal Cleaner, you will utilize a hand grinder to smooth machined parts from the machine shops. Your work will primarily involve large flanges or smaller assembly units, and you will provide support to various departments such as fabrication, grinding, paint, and shipping. Flexibility is key as you will help with moving parts between departments. **Responsibilities** + Use a hand grinder to smooth machined parts. + Assist various departments including fabrication, grinding, paint, and shipping. + Help move parts across different departments and adapt to changing needs. + Work alongside the fabrication department to prepare parts. **Essential Skills** + Experience with grinders and grinding techniques. + Knowledge of sheet metal and general labor tasks. + Proficiency with hand grinders and metal cleaning. + Ability to work with hand and power tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Willingness to support other departments during slower work phases. + Experience in construction, production, and general labor. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy ample overtime opportunities and the chance to work on prestigious projects, including supporting the Superbowl halftime show. You will work with steel and aluminum parts used for stages in concert venues. There are three large buildings nearby, offering plenty of opportunities to support the company's rental side as well. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
