Volt is immediately hiring for Grinder Set-Up Operator for a company located in Huntington Beach..
As a Grinder Set-Up Operator you will:
Perform grinding operations following job instructions. Read from blueprint and job order product specifications for dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground and tooling instructions, such as speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used. Assist with “first piece” and “last piece” inspections. Maintain production levels in accordance with the job instructions. Operate machines and measuring instruments as per instructions and keep them in good working order. Perform quality checks as per inspection instructions and inform Manager of quality issues. Input quality and production data into the ERP system. Communicate to Manager any problem areas and deficiencies, so corrective actions may be taken. Assist with the training of new grinding operators as required. Attend training activities as required. Participate in continuous improvement teams as required.This is a full time opportunity. 5 days a week. 8+ hours per day.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working in a machine shop or manufacturingSchedule: 7am to 330pm
Days: Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
