**Job Title: Grinder Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Grinder Operator to set up and operate finish grinding machines. The role involves selecting specific speeds and feeds based on the materials used, dressing grinding wheels, and performing quality inspections on dimensions and tolerances.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate the finish grinding machines.
+ Select specific speeds and feeds based on the materials being used.
+ Dress the grinding wheels.
+ Conduct quality inspection of the dimensions and tolerances.
+ Detect any material defects and report them to the supervisor.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with grinders, surface grinding, and general grinding techniques.
+ Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers for quality control.
+ Experience with machine operation, CNC lathe, and CNC mill.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience as a machine operator.
+ Familiarity with surface grinding techniques.

**Work Environment**
This position is within a climate-controlled production setting where you will primarily work alone. There is 1 opening on the 1st shift (5:30 AM - 3:00 PM Monday-Thursday and 5:30 AM - 9:30 AM on Fridays), and 1 opening on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 12:15 AM Monday-Thursday and 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Fridays). A 10% shift differential is offered for 2nd shift.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
