The Opportunity:

Join our team as a Senior Technical Writer at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, working on an exciting government project. You'll collaborate with the ESI division, interfacing with customers, contractors, and the Branch Chief to create high-quality documentation for strategic weapon systems.

Responsibilities:

Produce clear, concise technical documents including reports, briefings, white papers, and user manuals Interpret and apply security classification guidelines and portion marking Create and update document templates based on stakeholder requirements Engage with subject matter experts to enhance understanding of complex topicsMaintain document tracking systems and monitor deliverable statusesMentor other writers to improve their skills and efficiencyAttend design reviews and meetings, occasionally representing the client

Qualifications:

B.S./B.A. plus five years of experience or nine years of experience in lieu of degreeStrong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilitiesAttention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments Interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with coworkers and customers Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

Required:

Experience in technical writing, editing, and formatting for government or defense projectsKnowledge of relevant style guides and documentation best practices Familiarity with creating user manuals, training materials, and system specifications Understanding of strategic weapon systems documentationActive secret security clearance

Desired:

Experience with security classification and portion marking Expertise in translating business specifications into user documentationKnowledge of programming and systems operation documentation • Willingness to travel occasionally for overnight trips

This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$67,800 - 142,200 USD
