This role focuses on preparing and refining existing artwork into accurate, print‑ready files that support multiple production and printing machines in a fast‑paced plant environment. You will work from sales order requests, convert supplied assets into final production files, and collaborate closely with manufacturing and print teams to meet operational timelines. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed production work, thrives under deadlines, and wants to grow their experience in graphic and print production.
Responsibilities
+ Receive job requests generated from sales orders, each tied to a unique reference ID, and convert associated artwork into finalized production files.
+ Rework, adjust, and format existing artwork to meet production requirements, without creating original designs from scratch.
+ Convert raw images and files into print‑ready PDFs and Photoshop files that align with machine and production specifications.
+ Ensure artwork accuracy, including proper formatting, sizing, resolution, and color consistency before releasing files to production.
+ Produce print‑ready artwork that supports multiple production and printing machines across the facility.
+ Manage a high volume of incoming work while maintaining strong organization and clear prioritization in a fast‑moving environment.
+ Collaborate closely with manufacturing and print teams to support production schedules and operational timelines.
+ Support ramp‑up activities for a newly installed printer by adapting files and workflows to evolving processes and specifications.
+ Maintain meticulous attention to detail to minimize errors and rework in production files.
+ Adapt quickly to changes in processes, specifications, and workflows as the operation grows and evolves.
Essential Skills
+ Experience working in graphic production, print production, or prepress environments.
+ Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
+ Strong working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and PDF preparation for print.
+ Proven ability to take existing artwork and make it fully print‑ready for various production and printing machines.
+ High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing production files.
+ Comfort working in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment.
+ Strong organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
+ Ability to adapt quickly as processes, equipment, and workflows evolve.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Adobe Illustrator and the broader Adobe Creative Suite.
+ Background in graphic design, rendering, or digital graphics.
+ Experience working with signage or similar large‑format print applications.
+ Familiarity with tools such as SketchUp or similar design/rendering software.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams in production and manufacturing.
+ Motivation to grow within a graphic production and print environment and build long‑term skills.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role based in a production plant environment, working closely with manufacturing and print teams. You will support multiple production and printing machines and handle a steady, high volume of artwork and job requests in a deadline‑driven setting. This is a Contract position based out of Mukwonago, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
