Summary:
We are looking for someone to join our brand team as a Graphic Designer, with a focus on Social Media, Brand, and Events. This is someone who lives, eats, and breathes design, particularly for digital platforms, and is forever curious about the role that creative design and communication play in our daily lives. You are someone who thinks about design holistically… understanding how imagery, design, copy and come together to form a cohesive message.
Your main platform for design is digital - web, mobile, social. Your work might show up on social media, on a website, on a blog, an app, in a video… but you’re not limited to just digital. You can think and produce designs across mediums… taking or developing the same key art elements, and applying them contextually in digital, print, product, and experiential/events. You live in digital but can dip in to other worlds… because our world is not only digital.
The successful candidate must be capable of being a team player, as a part of the Creative Services team within a global company with 64,000+ associates worldwide. As a Graphic Designer, you will work on a variety of assignments individually, with other members of the department, and also interact with business partners throughout the organization. This position requires experience in working with multiple stakeholders, managing feedback, and creating contextual, high-end creative design and layout concepts. This position will require adhering to, mastering and expanding upon strict corporate brand guidelines, as well as developing original brand/programmatic designs from time to time.
Responsibilities:
Design, produce and edit a variety of graphics materials — with the focus on social media, brand, and events – including social posts (static and animated), banners, web/mobile, email, landing pages, and PPT/Keynote. Additional platforms to include, but not limited to: print design and layout, event/experiential, product/packaging, video/animation. Liaise with internal brand, creative, and BU teams in developing best-in-class content for a wide array of platforms. Manage and guide selective projects with a certain level of autonomy. Give and receive feedback with respect and can interpret directional feedback into actionable next steps. Be our internal expert for social creative. Develop an ongoing creative “playbook” of creative “best practices” for social media channels, and champion these guidelines across the organization. Keep an eye out for “what’s next” and bring progressive design practices into the organization. Interact with external vendors and partners, as needed, to guide them in brand design and implementation.Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of superior design and content creation in either in B2B, corporate or other relevant fields, including ad agencies, design studios, marketing firms, etc. Must possess a modern sense of design aesthetics and be experienced in taking a concept and transforming it into a design theme to be used on a series of marketing pieces. Excellent verbal and written communications skills to convey ideas clearly and interact effectively with business partners, including the ability to be direct yet diplomatic and professional when addressing issues or deficiencies. Strong client service orientation and ability to work with different business partners throughout the organization Perfectionism and passion about art and design; unflagging attention to detail and proofreading skills Strong organizational skills with ability to work under tight deadlines and function well during periods of high-volume production Ability to prioritize and manage projects so they are delivered within their respective milestones. Problem solving "on the fly" abilities and a team player work ethic to help colleagues with production, presentations and last-minute changes for hard-deadline projects.
