**JOB OVERVIEW**
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Graphic Design Specialist.
Reporting to the Creative & Design Services Manager, Brand Management, this design and art direction position is responsible for the conceptualization, design, and production of creative assets to support internal and external marketing and communications initiatives across digital, web, social media, print, video, CRM, collateral, and events. They will be responsible for using design principles and software to deliver high-quality visual solutions that align with organizational objectives and brand standards.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES **
+ Collaborate with managers, internal clients, and external vendor partners to understand project goals and creative vision; brainstorm ideas, share knowledge, and provide feedback on creative projects.
+ Work closely with the Creative & Design Services Manager on the conceptual development, art direction, and execution of creative projects, including advertising campaign design, brand identity creation, and the production of a wide range of communications materials across digital, print, and social media platforms.
+ Develop and present design concepts and mock-ups for review and approval.
+ Design and produce creative assets for digital, web, social media, print, and video channels, ensuring consistency with OPG’s brand standards.
+ Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.
+ Ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables, adhering to brand guidelines and standards.
+ Prepare final artwork files for production, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
+ Organize files and project assets to ensure efficient workflow and easy retrieval of materials.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in graphic design and digital media.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ High school diploma plus 2 years of study in Graphic Design, Digital media studies or related field.
+ 4+ years of experience as graphic designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing brand identity, advertising design (digital and traditional media), web design, social, and printed materials.
+ Proficient in industry standard design software, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Canva, Foleon, or equivalent.
+ Experience working in a creative production or communications environment is preferred.
+ Strong understanding of design principles.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple design projects with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

**This position is moving to OPG Corporate Headquarters:** In Summer 2025, OPG will officially welcome employees to our new Corporate Headquarters located at 1908 Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa, Ontario. This position will be temporarily based in Toronto, ON until the move to Headquarters in the Summer of 2025.

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. It is not typical for the salary to be offered near the top of the range, and salary is dependent on numerous factors. For management roles, the base salary range does not represent the total compensation package. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay-for-performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
