Position Description:

Barrick is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the closure team in Grants, New Mexico. 

Responsibilities:

Maintain groundwater restoration programComplete daily water system inspections including evaporation ponds, pumps, pipelines, and wellsProvide weekly and monthly reports of readings Install, maintain, and repair pipelines Install, adjust, maintain, and repair well pumpsOperate heavy equipment as necessary 

Qualifications:

Proven safety record requiredBasic maintenance skills requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience with water system maintenance and repair preferredReverse Osmosis plant experience preferredHousekeeping standards are maintained to a high level required Instrumentation experience a plusAbility to work in adverse weather conditions requiredSkilled in HDPE pipe cutting and position welding required Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds requiredMust be able to stand for up to eight hours requiredMust be able to walk on uneven surfaces requiredMust be highly motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision requiredExcellent communication skills including verbal and written requiredExperience in Microsoft, Word, and Excel. preferred

HMC is wholly owned by Barrick and the GRP operates under the North American arm of Barrick’s Global Closure team.
