The Dollar Tree Grand Openings and Re-openings Specialist will support the planning and execution of marketing efforts for Dollar Tree grand openings, grand re-openings, and special store events. With over 8,000 stores across the U.S. and aggressive expansion plans, this role plays a critical part in driving local awareness, customer traffic, and brand engagement at the community level to drive incremental sales.
This individual will be responsible for coordinating and activating multi-channel marketing tactics that support the successful launch and relaunch of stores—ensuring visibility across local media, digital channels, and in and out of store touchpoints. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. They will partner closely with internal teams, store operations, and external vendors to ensure seamless and on-brand execution that aligns with Dollar Tree’s broader marketing and business objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities-Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance
Execute local marketing plans to support grand openings and reopening’s across Dollar Tree’s growing national store footprint. Continue to dial in turn key plans for future events to maximize performance.Manage and maintain a centralized marketing calendar of all upcoming grand openings and reopening’s while closely collaborating with Stores Operations leadership.Coordinate across internal teams (e.g., creative, store operations, merchandising) and external partners to ensure timely execution of all tactics.Support the development and deployment of marketing materials such as localized flyers, social content, paid media, in-store signage, PR support, and direct mail (where applicable).Ensure consistency and compliance with brand standards across all local marketing executions.Partner with the Paid Media Manager and social media teams to amplify store openings through geo-targeted campaigns and localized posts.Track campaign performance and store-level results to inform future recommendations and optimizations.Liaise with Store Operations and Field Marketing to identify high-impact opportunities for community-level support, including local partnerships, events, or promotions.Contribute to post-event reporting and documentation of best practices to drive continuous improvement in grand opening playbooks.Monitor competitive store marketing activity and recommend new ideas for local engagementMinimum Requirements/Qualifications- Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.
BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.2+ years of marketing experience, preferably in retail or field marketing.Experience managing high volumes of projects and timelines simultaneously.Excellent organizational and project management skills with sharp attention to detail.Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively across all levels.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Experience working with creative teams, media agencies, or print vendors a plus.Familiarity with social media and local marketing tactics preferred.This is not to be considered a complete list of job duties, as they may be amended or added to as needed.
