Delivers to facilities assigned by dispatcher. Determines and conveys needed repairs and/or preventative maintenance to fleet mechanics. **Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities** + Ensures timely and accurate delivery of grain according to dispatcher scheduling. + Performs a pre-trip truck inspection according to a DOT sheet, reporting any deficiencies to proper fleet mechanics. + Ensures the correct weight of grain is loaded into the truck and the correct weight is delivered. + Ensures accurate recordkeeping of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs and time sheets, no hold and grain pick up. + Preform other duties as required **Requirements** + Valid CDL A License + High School Graduate or GED + Minimum Two years over the road Tractor/Trailer driving experience with hoppers preferred **Experience Preferred** Strong communication skills. **Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements** + Able to drive a tractor with a trailer. + Able to remain seated for extended periods of time up to the limits established by DOT regulations. + Able to withstand bouncing and vibration from truck and road conditions. + Able to lift boxes up to 50pounds to load/unload products. + Exposed to fuel and oil spills. + Exposed to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0-100%) and noise (50db to 100db). + Required to travel to customers, distributors, plant facilities and other remote locations. + May be required to remain away from for home overnight from time to time. _Perdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
