Purpose of the Role: 

The Graduate Weight Control Engineer provides technical support in collecting, monitoring, and reporting weight and center of gravity (CoG) data for projects to ensure compliance with design requirements, safety criteria, and client specifications under the guidance of senior engineers. The role is designed to develop capability through hands-on involvement in calculations, preparation of weight reports, and coordination with other disciplines. The position offers structured learning, mentorship, and project experience to support progression toward a long-term career as a Weight Engineer. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Assist in collecting, managing and monitoring weight related information from all disciplines, creating, maintaining and updating the weight database during all project phases.  

Interface with other engineering disciplines. 

Learn project workflows, industry standards and software tools. 

Qualifications / Skill Set: 

Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field 

Registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), as Graduate member. 

Fresh graduate or 1-2 years of experience in weight management. 

Beneficial: Weight management experience in Fixed/Floating Offshore structures. 

Basic proficiency with weight management database systems and/or weight analysis tools (e.g. MON, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, etc.) 

Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite. 

Good written and communication skills.
