We are seeking a motivated Graduate Data Scientist to join our Subsurface Team at TotalEnergies EP Malaysia. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in managing E&P subsurface data, developing advanced algorithms, and supporting digital transformation initiatives to optimize reservoir surveillance and production performance.

Your Impact

As a key contributor to the Subsurface Team, you will:

Manage the lifecycle of exploration and production subsurface data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity.Provide application and data support for E&P systems, including data loading and knowledge management.Develop advanced algorithms and machine learning/statistical models to process large datasets for reservoir and production optimization.Maintain workflows, standards, and best practices for data governance and regulatory compliance.Implement dashboards and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, webGIS) to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.Stay current with emerging technologies in data analytics and apply them to exploration and production challenges. What We Are Looking For

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields with CGPA 3.5 or higher.0 to 2 years of experience in data analytics or related roles (fresh graduates are welcome).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and programming skills.Familiarity with BI tools, data visualization, and machine learning techniques.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; fluent in English.Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
