TotalEnergies EP Malaysia is seeking a motivated Graduate Corporate Secretarial / Legal Counsel to join our Legal Division. This 2‑year structured graduate program offers hands‑on exposure to corporate secretarial functions, legal advisory work, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic and highly regulated energy environment.

Activities

Your Impact

As a Graduate Corporate Secretarial / Legal Counsel, you will support both corporate secretarial and legal functions while gaining comprehensive experience across Malaysia’s upstream operations. You will:

Assist in preparing and filing statutory documents with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and maintaining statutory registers in compliance with the Companies Act 2016. Support Board and Committee governance processes, including drafting minutes, preparing meeting packs, and coordinating timely filings and submissions. Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders on corporate secretarial matters. Assist Legal Counsel in reviewing and advising on PSCs, JOAs, corporate contracts, procurement documentation, and petroleum arrangements. Ensure compliance with the Petroleum Development Act 1974, Environmental Quality Act, and other applicable upstream regulations. Support risk management in joint ventures, regulatory engagements, and contractual matters. Assist in monitoring legislative changes affecting the oil and gas sector and providing timely advisory updates to management.  Candidate Profile

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor of Law (LLB); admission to the Malaysian Bar preferred.An advantage if you are an Associate Member of MAICSA or a Licensed Company Secretary. Strong understanding of Companies Act 2016, corporate governance principles, and regulatory compliance. Excellent drafting, analytical, communication, and organisational skills.High attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential matters.Interest in the oil and gas industry and cross‑functional collaboration.
